There are several options available through us for moving your personal belongings overseas. Cost, convenience, volume and how much of the actual work you want to do yourself will decide which method you prefer. It is important that when you pack yourself to make a packing list of everything being packed which must be provided by you for your shipment, this is required by both US Customs and the overseas agent and local customs.
You can do all the packing of the boxes and wrapping of the furniture yourself, rent a u-haul type truck and deliver it directly to our warehouse in Stanton where we will store it until it is ready to be loaded into a container. If it is a smaller shipment of less than 10 cbm this is an economical option.
If your shipment is larger, you can still do the packing and wrapping yourself, but we also can arrange to have a container delivered directly to your residence. You can keep the container for a few hours or up to 5 days and can load your belongings straight into the container, having the container exclusively for your shipment. Be advised the container needs to be parked on level ground and where it will not be ticketed or block access to other people as in a storage facility. Also, the container is delivered on a chassis, so it sits about 5 feet (1.5m) of the ground and is delivered empty, there is no ramp or equipment included and has doors at only one end.
If you are also sending an auto, once you have loaded your personal effects, we can bring the container back to our facility and load/secure the auto for you. Please remember to leave enough space for it to fit. The container trucking is a bit more expensive if they have to make two trips (leave it) and they do not move containers on weekends, however you can keep it over a weekend.
Full containers (20? or 40?) can be arranged to send to any port for you, but focus on Europe, Scandinavia and Australia/New Zealand. The smaller individual shipments we specialize to our ?regular? destinations of Gothenburg and Stockholm in Sweden, Oslo in Norway, Bremerhaven in Germany, Rotterdam in Holland (Netherlands) and Felixstowe near Ipswich in England.
