    3 miscarriages, need help

    Hi everyone,

I'm sorry I don't speak Swedish and that it is actually one of the reasons I'm asking you help!

A little summary of this painful path to what we hope and still believe will lead to a beautiful and healthy baby:
    - Quit the pill in July 2012
    - Miscarriage 1, End Nov 2013, Week 11 _ They could not even see the embryo
    - Miscarriage 2, End Nov 2014, Week 11_ Pregnancy stopped Week 7
    - Miscarriage 3, Mid May 2015, Week 6

I would like to get some tips to understand what it is the normal process here in Swedish about medical assisted reproduction. Where and how did you get help? It is really hard to understand all this when you are living abroad!!!

I would be happy to discuss with some women who have lived or are living the same situation than me! We can support each other!

    Looking forward to sharing!

    Hello there.

First of all I am sorry for your losses. I lost my Samuel on April 21st this year, 22 weeks pregnant. I haven't had a lot of miscarriages but at least one early.

I am not entirely sure about WHERE to call, but we have a lot of fertility clinics here. I don't know if you have to be sent there by another doctor or if you can call directly to them.

Another option I can think of is our women clinics. They specialize in females and since you get miscarriages I suggest you call them. They are named Kvinnokliniken and most county's have them.

When we talk about assisted reproduction we often (if there haven't been any noticed problems) get one year on our own to try and have a baby. But in your case the problem doesn't seem to be getting pregnant, but keeping the pregnancy, which as you already might know can be caused by something wrong with the baby or lack of progesterone in you. Either way, I think you have been trying for long enough to get on their waiting list. A lot of people have problems with this so there might be a queue.

If you could tell me where you live (county, postal code) I could look for up number for you to call :)

Also, when it comes to miscarriages there cab be many different causes in general. So it's hard to say HOW they will help you, since it's quite individual. IF you lack progesterone they will most likely add it to you with cream or pills. If there is a problem with the babies, they most likely look up your genetics and if there might be a chance of inherited disease, and if something can be done to prevent this.

You and your partner might not be genetically compatible or such, and the solution there might be a sperm donor. But don't worry about that.
