Varför finns det två uppsättningar "10 budord" och vilka är det man ska följa?

Är det inom kristendomen du menar? Nu har jag inte studerat religion på ett bra tag, men jag kan bara minnas en uppsättning: de Moses fick på stentavlorna från Gud och var en del i det gamla förbundet. Jag har också för mig att kristna, beroende på tro, kan mena att det gamla förbundet upphävdes iom att Jesus gav sitt liv för syndernas förlåtelse.

Reglerna i det nya förbundet är de i nya testamentet och är väl "Du ska älska din nästa som dig själv" och några till jag inte kommer ihåg.

Ja, det är väl i första hand kristna jag tänker på. Båda upplagorna av budorden står i Exodus, har jag för mig..... *går och dubbelkollar*

Det har i alla fall ingenting med jesus att göra.

Därför att bibeln är ett hopplock av diverse sentida texter med dunkelt ursprung.

Det finns väl bara en uppsättning, fast den nämns på flera ställen. Det finns lite olika uppfattningar om exakt vad som är de 10 budorden, eftersom den hebreiska texten inte innehåller verser eller numrerar buden så är det lite av en tolkningsfråga. De flesta brukar dela upp dem så här (Jag parafraserar):

1: Jag är HERREN, din Gud
2: Du ska inte ha några andra gudar jämte mig
3: Du ska inte missbruka HERRENS, din Guds namn
4: Hedra din far och din mor
5: Tänk på sabbatsdagen så att du helgar den
6: Du ska inte mörda
7: Du ska inte begå äktenskapsbrott
8: Du ska inte stjäla
9: Du ska inte ljuga
10: Du ska inte ha begär mot något som tillhör någon annan

En del tar bort det första budet och delar upp det sista i två, vilka då bägge handlar om att vara avundsjuk.

Visst har det med Jesus att göra, eftersom Han ofta citerar GT och även så de tio budorden (utom budet om sabbaten). GT var uppenbarligen otroligt viktig för Jesus.

Detta är de lagar som gäller alla människor, överallt och i alla tider. Många av buden i GT är annars specifika för judarna. Renlighetslagarna t.ex. handlar om vilka som får beträda Templet, och eftersom det inte existerar något Tempel idag är de buden inte applicerbara. Ytterligare andra bud har Jesus redan fullbordat, såsom offret (Han offrade sig själv i stället) och omskärelsen (kristna är omskurna i anden).

Nja, alltså.... när man talar om de tio budorden så talar man om det som stod på Moses stentavlor. Rätt?

Ja?

På stentavlorna står följande:

(1)"Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

(2)"Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land; for when they     prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices.  And when you choose some of their daughters as wives     for your sons and those daughters prostitute themselves to their gods, they will lead your sons to do the same.

(3)"Do not make cast idols.

(4)"Celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread.  For seven days eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you.  Do this at the appointed time in the month of Abib, for in that month you came out of Egypt.

(5)"The first offspring of every womb belongs to me, including all the firstborn males of your livestock, whether from herd or flock.  Redeem the firstborn donkey with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck.  Redeem all your firstborn sons.

(6) "No one is to appear before me empty-handed.

(7) "Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.

(8) "Celebrate the Feast of Weeks with the firstfruits of the wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering at the turn of the year.  Three times a year all your men are to appear before the Sovereign Lord, the God of Israel.  I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your territory, and no one will covet your land when you go up three times each year to appear before the Lord your God.

(9)  "Do not offer the blood of a sacrifice to me along with anything containing yeast, and do not let any of the sacrifice from the Passover Feast remain until morning.

(10) "Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the Lord your God.  Do not cook a young goat in its mother's milk." 

Eller kanske ska ta de direkt från bibeln istället, men är lite orolig för hur texten kommer se ut.... det kanske blir screw-up nu... here goes...

14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

15 Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;

19 All that openeth the matrix is mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male.

20 But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.

21 Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.

26 The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

BARA på det här stället i bibeln (i Moses-berättelsen) används överhuvud taget begreppet "10 bud" om stentavlorna.
Jag bara tycker att det är väldigt fascinerande.

Man måste läsa kontexten, annars blir det fel. De tio budorden nämns i 2 Mos 20 och i 5 Mos 5. I 2 Mos och framåt står det inte rätt ut exakt vilka bud som fanns på stentavlorna, men i 5Mos så upprepar Mose buden ifrån 2Mos 20 och säger att det var dessa som stod på stentavlorna.

Det du har citerat är något annat, nämligen vad Gud säger när han förnyar förbundet med Mose efter guldkalven.

I Mos 20 och framåt så sluter Gud ett förbund med folket. Det är många olika lagar som rabblas upp, men det börjar med de traditionella tio buden. Det står också att Gud gav Mose två stentavlor med bud nedskrivna av Gud själv, men exakt vad som stod nämns inte just här. Sedan har Mose sönder dessa stentavlor i vrede över guldkalven, och Gud säger åt Mose att göra nya tavlor med exakt samma ord som på de första. I 5 Mos  så upprepas som sagt Mose vad som stod på stentavlorna.

Vissa av buden har "utvecklingar", andra har det inte. Dessa "utvecklingar" är inte egna bud, utan beskriver bara budet närmare i detalj. T.ex. förbudet om att göra sig bildstoder av gudar hänger i hop med "Du ska inte ha andra gudar vid sidan av mig".

Frågade min prästkompis som sa att i andra mosebok berättas "händelsen" när Mose fick budorden. I femte mosebok talar Mose om vad som hänt och hur Gud har hjälpt dem. Det är alltså samma budord i båda moseböckerna.
