Att bo i Storbritannien?
I will write in English and avoid misunderstandings.
I moved from the North of England to Stockholm in January. Best city - if you want to find work quickly then London but you will spend more than 50% of your joint income on rent for a very small, badly insulated apartment. Manchester would be my next choice but you will spend more than 50% of your joint income on a slightly larger, badly insulated apartment (note - the BBC has studios in Manchester so rents are inflated). Try Zoopla or Rightmove to get an idea of ??renting. Weather - much warmer but damp. Manchester has two weathers 1) it is raining 2) it is going to rain. And there is sometimes snow, which we cannot cope with. See photos of my garden in Yorkshire in winter and spring. Guess which is which.

Difficult to get a job? After Brexit (I voted remain!!!) there is now a shortage of skilled workers especially in health care and construction and the UK is offering more visas. I worked as a laboratory manager and recruiting for new entry level positions was difficult. Nice people? I think you will find Swedes and Brits are very similar. I confess to being biased against Southern England (especially London) and find people are friendlier up North. Is it expensive? London and Stockholm are equivalent but once outside the capital the answer is (mostly) no! I cannot believe how expensive food is in Sweden. Quality over quantity maybe? Utilities (gas and electricity) - I was paying SEK 2600 per month. Then SEK 1300 per month for water and SEK 1300 council tax per month "municipality fee". Broadband (fast fibre) and mobile phone package about SEK 2000 a month. London monthly travel pass for all zones = SEK 5560. Similar travel pass for a city in the North of England would be 40 to 50% as expensive. Comfortable? You will pay less in tax but that's the only advantage. Feel free to ask me anything you like.
