After moving to Sweden I found out my wife of 12 years has cheated on me multiple times, especially with her old partner. We specifically agree to be monogamous, but she lied. After being caught she has now asked for a open relationship and said that most swedish woman who are successful, in their late 30's, feel this way and it's normal.
Is Sweden really like this?

Absolutely not. That is very much NOT the norm or even common for Swedish women.
If she has cheated on you, and even done it multiple time, she has deflated her value as a woman and partner to sub minimum levels by being extremely disloyal and treacherous to you. She is no longer worthy of your time, effort or your resources in any way. I would throw her out immediately if I owned the house or try to move away from that traitor asap if she had owned the house.
It is horrible how she can backstab you like that after a 12 years long marriage and then she tries to excuse her filthy behavior by lying to you. She is a coward who doesn't own the situation and take responsibility for it. It is not even a single time mistake, which in rare circumstances can be excused, but she has intentionally and repeatedly cheated on you.
Now make sure you hold her fully accountable for her actions and leave her crying with your head and back held high bro. The shame is 100% on her.
Sure, there are some women like that, but not more than in other countries. It is not more "common" among Swedish women than anywhere else in "western world".
