Help to understand one word in the song "Å alla man skulle far' i fält"

I would like to sing swedish songs in Russian. I like swedish songs.

This is a joke song, I think. There are similar songs in russian folk music. 

Also I am not sure about västa. I thought that it is some kind of a jacket.

socka - rocka
hästa - västa
yxor - byxor
hövlar - stövlar
